Oligonucleotides were synthesized at the Laboratory of Gene Technology on an Applied Biosystems 381A DNA synthesizer (Perkin-Elmer, Foster city, CA), based on the b-cyanoethyl phosphoramidite chemistry, or ordered from Eurogentec, Pharmacia, or Genset (Paris, France).
